Isaac Fayose Slams Fubara Over Meeting With Tinubu
Businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has expressed deep regret over supporting suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Fayose made his feelings known in a video shared online, reacting to photos of Fubara visiting and posing with President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence on Tuesday, June 3.
The meeting sparked backlash, especially among those who had backed Fubara during his political feud with his predecessor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
In the video, Fayose harshly criticized Fubara, calling him a “weakling” and accusing him of abandoning his stance for political survival.
“Fubara, who was a sitting governor just three months ago, now spends his time taking pictures — either with the President in London or Lagos, or standing outside Aso Rock and Wike’s house. They’ve changed his destiny. He’s now posing with his enemies. What a weak man! I regret fighting for you. You’re very weak… a weakling!” he said.
Fubara was suspended from office by President Tinubu in March 2025, following a prolonged political crisis rooted in a bitter fallout with Wike, who was instrumental in his emergence as governor.
