Khloé Kardashian Responds to Weight Loss Criticism

Khloé Kardashian Opens Up About Weight Loss Criticism and Public Pressure
Khloé Kardashian is breaking her silence on the intense scrutiny surrounding her weight loss journey, including ongoing speculation that she used Ozempic — a diabetes drug recently popularized for its weight loss effects.
In the latest episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, the 40-year-old reality star sat down for a candid conversation with fitness influencer Whitney Simmons.

Reflecting on her transformation over the years, Kardashian spoke honestly about how both her body and the public’s reactions have evolved — and not always positively.
“When I was heavier, I was actually more confident,” Khloé said. “I already knew what people were going to say about me, so it didn’t faze me. But once I started losing weight, I felt like I had to keep up a certain image — not just for me, but because people were watching.”

She admitted that what began as a focus on health and fitness soon shifted into a need to manage public perception.
“I felt like I couldn’t gain weight again because people were just waiting for it. That’s when it stopped being about health.”
Despite achieving a toned, athletic figure through early morning workouts and a strict routine, Kardashian said she felt uncomfortable with the kind of attention she began receiving.
“I started to hate that I got more praise just because I looked a certain way. It felt gross,” she confessed.
Khloé also addressed criticism that she’s somehow changed as a person due to her slimmer appearance. “People say I’m not funny anymore or that I’ve betrayed the ‘thick girl’ community,” she said. “But I’m still me. I’ve just physically changed — a lot, depending on who you ask.”
The backlash intensified in April 2025 when she shared swimsuit photos with her 303 million Instagram followers, prompting a wave of mixed reactions.
While some fans applauded her discipline and transformation, others mourned the loss of her previous body type, with comments like “Make Khloé thick again” and “Too skinny. Eat something.”
Khloé, who’s remained largely silent on Ozempic rumors, didn’t directly confirm or deny any use of the drug, but emphasized that speculation has followed her regardless of her size.
“No matter what I look like, someone will have something negative to say,” she concluded. “I was judged when I was bigger. I’m judged now that I’m thinner. You just learn to live for yourself.”
