Anne Burrell’s Death Probed as Possible Overdose

Anne Burrell’s sudden death is now under investigation as a possible drug overdose, according to law enforcement sources who spoke with TMZ.
The NYPD is reportedly exploring whether the 55-year-old celebrity chef may have ingested a fatal quantity of medication.
Sources say her husband, Stuart Claxton, discovered her unconscious on the shower floor of their Brooklyn home early Tuesday morning.

A number of pills were reportedly found nearby, raising concerns about a potential overdose.
Claxton told authorities he last saw Anne alive around 1 a.m., and found her body approximately six to seven hours later. He immediately called 911, and dispatchers allegedly instructed him to perform CPR.
However, sources say Anne’s body was already cold by the time help was summoned, and it remains unclear whether CPR was actually attempted. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Burrell was best known for hosting Worst Cooks in America on the Food Network and had become a beloved figure in the culinary entertainment world.
Her passing at such a relatively young age has left fans and colleagues in shock, while investigators continue working to determine the exact cause of death.
