I didn’t like what Messi said about PSG – Ex-Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf

AdminBy AdminJune 26, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read3 Views

Former Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf has said he didn’t like what Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi said about Paris Saint-Germain in the past.

Messi was a former Paris Saint-Germain player in the past.

The Argentina forward had recently admitted that his time at PSG was hard, adding that it was ‘difficult’ for him to ‘adapt’ at the French Ligue 1 champions.

Speaking on the development ahead of PSG’s FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 tie with Inter Miami this weekend, Leboeuf told ESPN’s YouTube channel: “I didn’t like what he [Messi] said when he said he didn’t have a good time in Paris.

“The only guy who doesn’t like Paris, its a beautiful city, I didn’t understand him when he said that.

“I think people were happy to have Messi, wasn’t the Messi they were expecting, I think if he was as good as he was at Barcelona, he’d have stayed there.”

Messi had joined PSG from Barcelona in 2021 before he left the Parisians to join Inter Miami on a free transfer.

The 38-year-old scored 32 goals and provided 35 assists in 75 appearances across all competitions for PSG.

Messi also won three trophies, including two Ligue 1 titles with PSG and played alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at PSG.
