Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, Reportedly Collapses in Kuje Jail After Being Granted Bail

Reviews have emerged that Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer to IPOB chief Nnamdi Kanu, allegedly collapsed inside Kuje Jail shortly after being granted bail by a Justice of the Peace Courtroom in Abuja.

In accordance with Sahara Reporters, Ejimakor is at present receiving medical consideration on the Kuje Correctional Centre, with sources claiming his situation is deteriorating and that he has been unable to take a seat or stand correctly as a result of ailing well being.

Courtroom Grants Bail to Ejimakor and Others

The event comes after a Justice of the Peace Courtroom in Kuje, presided over by Justice of the Peace Abubakar Umar Sai’id, granted bail to Aloy Ejimakor, Prince Emmanuel Kanu (Nnamdi Kanu’s brother), Omoyele Sowore, and 11 others on Saturday, October 24, 2025.

Ejimakor was amongst these arrested through the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest held in Abuja — a rally demanding the discharge of Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in custody since June 2021.

Background

Kanu, the chief of the Indigenous Folks of Biafra (IPOB), was rearrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria to face terrorism-related expenses.

The protest calling for his launch turned chaotic within the capital, as safety forces clashed with demonstrators, utilizing tear fuel to disperse the group.

Regardless of a courtroom order banning protests close to authorities buildings, together with the Aso Rock Presidential Villa and Nationwide Meeting, activists — led by Omoyele Sowore — went forward with the march beneath the trending hashtag #FreeNnamdiKanuNow.

The incident has since drawn large reactions on-line, with many Nigerians expressing concern over Ejimakor’s well being and the continued authorized battle surrounding Nnamdi Kanu’s case.
