Nigerian rapper Oladips has alleged that operatives of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) extorted ₦10 million from him earlier than granting his launch from detention.

Talking on the Trending podcast almost a 12 months after his arrest, Oladips recounted being detained for 5 days following a midnight raid by the EFCC in his property in November 2024. He claimed that regardless of discovering no proof in opposition to him, the company nonetheless demanded cash earlier than setting him free.

The rapper described harsh situations throughout his detention, revealing that fellow artist Zlatan Ibile despatched him meals due to the poor meals offered by officers.
