U.S. Lawmaker Warns Tinubu To not “Check President Trump’s Resolve” Amid Rising Tensions Over Christian Killings in Nigeria

Riley Moore, U.S. Consultant for West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, has issued a pointy warning to Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over continued reviews of violence towards Christians in Nigeria.

Moore’s remarks adopted former U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest condemnation of the alleged killings and his menace of attainable U.S. army intervention if the assaults persist.

Trump’s Warning

Trump had denounced what he described as ongoing persecution of Christians in Nigeria, vowing that his administration would take “decisive motion” to finish the violence if obligatory.

Moore’s Message to Tinubu

Responding to Trump’s feedback, Moore cautioned President Tinubu and his administration to not underestimate Trump’s dedication, saying additional inaction may draw a powerful response from Washington.

“To the Authorities of Nigeria and President Tinubu: President Trump has offered truthful warning. The times of the U.S. trying the opposite method are over — it is going to by no means occur on his watch,” Moore wrote on X.

“We urge you to behave swiftly to cease the killing of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Don’t take a look at his resolve. Many have tried and all have failed.”

Moore confused that the USA “won’t stay silent” whereas Christians proceed to face assaults, describing the disaster as one demanding pressing worldwide consideration.

His assertion provides to rising stress from U.S. lawmakers, religion leaders, and human rights advocates urging Nigeria to guard spiritual minorities and maintain perpetrators accountable.
