Called a “furious film, a richly engaging and persuasive polemic” by film critic Richard Lawson, the action thriller is now available to watch online.

Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, One Battle After Another is expected to stream on HBO Max when the action thriller’s current theatrical run is over sometime in late December or early January 2026. Until then, One Battle After Another is available to rent in 4K Ultra HD for $19.99, or to buy for $24.99 on Prime Video, Apple TV and other video-on-demand platforms.
When One Battle After Another eventually arrives on HBO Max, a subscription will be required to watch on demand. The streaming service starts at $9.99 per month with ads and is available as a Prime Video channel and on DirecTV.

Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Night, There Will Be Blood), One Battle After Another follows Bob Ferguson (Leonardo DiCaprio), a washed up former-revolutionary who’s on the run from the U.S. government with his infant daughter. More than 16 years later, Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn), a military officer, finds them, Willa (Chase Infiniti) who is now 16 years old, and is on pursuit to capture them.
The movie also stars Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim, Shayna McHayle, Paul Grimstad and others. It runs at two hours and 50 minutes.
