Estevao Willian is attracting heavyweight endorsements across global football, with senior figures backing the Chelsea and Brazil winger to become a future Ballon d’Or contender.
The 18-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Palmeiras this summer, has rapidly established himself as a core asset for both club and country.
He has already featured in 16 matches this season, registering four goals and one assist while earning the trust of manager Enzo Maresca.

High-level praise from Europe and South America
Maresca has consistently highlighted Estevao’s humility and rapid development, stressing that the youngster’s professionalism sets him apart.
The Chelsea boss believes the winger will eventually evolve into a more central creative role but insists his maturity is already beyond his years.
Brazil’s opponents have also taken notice. Ahead of the Selecao’s friendly against Tunisia, manager Sami Trabelsi described him as a “football genius” capable of rising into the global elite.
Trabelsi went further, suggesting Estevao has the potential to contest for the Ballon d’Or if his trajectory continues and he collects major honours.
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has echoed that sentiment. After Estevao scored against Senegal, Ancelotti said Brazil “has a guaranteed future,” adding that Chelsea are fortunate to have such a rare talent.
His efficiency, creativity and work rate have already made him one of the most exciting young forwards in world football.
Demanding standards behind the scenes
Despite the widespread praise, Ancelotti has not hesitated to apply tough standards. Globo Esporte reported that the teenager was sharply reprimanded during a training session in October for failing to follow tactical instructions.
However, the response was immediate: Estevao scored twice in the next match, a dominant 5-0 victory over South Korea.
