Im A Celebrity Camp Evacuated and Filming Delayed for Hours as Storm Hits the Jungle

AdminBy AdminNovember 26, 2025Updated:November 26, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

This year’s batch of campmates on the U.K.’s jungle-set reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been dealing with some particularly brutal weather.

Crew and talent were even forced to evacuate the camp on Monday due to stormy weather and flooding.

After 50 millimeters of rainfall in New SouthWales, Australia —where each year, for three weeks, a group of British celebrities live and carry out grim challenges in a bid to win food —the talent were moved away and filming was delayed for three hours.

An ITV representative told The Hollywood Reporter: “Our health and safety weather contingencies kicked in and we evacuated the celebrities immediately to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed and it was safe to return to camp.” THR understands the storm affected the filming of a challenge, also known as a Bush Tucker Trial.

Thunder could be heard booming across the camp on Monday and Tuesday night’s episodes, with former model Kelly Brook, rapper Aitch and Jack Osbourne, son of the late heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, among those complaining about the downpour.

The camp was swiftly drenched, with the stars forced to take shelter and pack away their makeshift beds and hammocks.

But bad weather has occurred on previous seasons, including last year when campmates had to be evacuated to the Bush Telegraph —the hut where the celebrities film their interviews —twice across the series.

This season’s launch ofI’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!accrued around 10.8 million viewers, up from 2024 and marking ITV’s biggest audience since the UEFA European Football Championships last year.

It makes I’m A Celeb the third biggest program of the year across all channels and streaming platforms in the U.K., and continues to prove hugely popular amongst the 16-34 audience, with a consolidated 2.5 million viewers, an increase year-on-year of eight percent.

The Survivor-esque show has been a staple of British reality television since its first installment in 2002. I’m A Celeb‘s stint in the calendar routinely signals the gear-up for Christmas, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly remaining the nation’s most beloved double act.
