Cristiano Ronaldo is expanding his business portfolio with the launch of an elite private members’ club in Madrid, marking another strategic move as he prepares for life after football.
The venture signals the Al-Nassr forward’s continued shift toward long-term investments as he enters the final stretch of his playing career.
The 40-year-old, who remains influential for both Portugal and Al-Nassr, has openly acknowledged that retirement is approaching.
He recently revealed that he has been preparing for life beyond football since his mid-20s, emphasising that stepping away from the game will be emotionally difficult but manageable due to years of planning.
High-end club to operate with strict privacy rules
According to Spanish outlet Libertad Digital, Ronaldo’s hospitality firm, Mabel Hospitality, led by entrepreneur Inigo Onieva and business partner Manuel Campos Guallar, is behind the new Vega Private Members Club.
Positioned on Madrid’s Golden Mile at 88 Lagasca Street, the 1,000-square-metre space is set to open before year-end.
The club will enforce a strict no-mobile-phone and no-photography policy to guarantee full privacy for members.
By day, the facility will offer private offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces and a podcast studio. At night, it will transition into an upscale social hub with fine dining, bars and curated entertainment.
Three signature environments will anchor the experience:
Casa Vega – a modern bistro,
Vega Restaurant,
Toto – an Italian dining space.
A specialised wine club will also feature exclusive tasting sessions and private cava experiences.
Membership fees positioned for the Elite
The founders’ membership available strictly by invitation, requires a one-time €15,000 payment and includes lifetime access, priority bookings and bespoke experiences.
More accessible memberships start from €2,400 annually, plus a €2,000 joining fee.
Ronaldo eyes life beyond football
Ronaldo noted in his interview with Piers Morgan that retirement will allow him to focus on family life and explore personal passions such as UFC, padel and hands-on involvement in his companies.
While he insists nothing will match the adrenaline of scoring a goal, he is eager to diversify his pursuits outside football.
Before fully transitioning into that next chapter, Ronaldo remains focused on delivering silverware for Al-Nassr.
