Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, recounted how some Muslim individuals he sheltered allegedly turned against his family in the most brutal way.
In a video shared by Equipping the Persecuted on X (formerly Twitter), Rev. Dachomo said he took in some stranded Muslims, fed them with his own money, and even allowed them to use the church to pray.
Rev. Dachomo alleged that the individuals committed atrocious acts despite his kindness.
“I bought foodstuffs with my money to feed them in my house, and they used the church to pray to Allah. Is that not live? And these same people were the ones who k!lled my grandmother and removed her heart. The same people killed my uncle and removed his tongue. The same people burned my best friend, my childhood friend, his wife, and his five children.
“Why is it that one side is supplying peace while the other side does not believe in peace, especially from the Islamic perspective? They don’t want to give us peace. They have been coming to our village to live with us, but in the end, they attacked us mercilessly, which led to the k!lling of my grandmother,” he said.
He added that these attacks have continued repeatedly despite Christians in the area choosing peace. He accused some Almajirai of benefitting from Christian hospitality only to later be used as tools to attack the same communities whenever crisis erupts.
“And they have been visiting that village repeatedly to attack us, but we have never visited their Ruga area to carry out attacks on them,” he noted.
The cleric also claimed that lands belonging to Christians have been seized by terrorists, saying even reporting such cases turns into another battle.
Rev. Dachomo called on the Senate Committee on Security to act decisively and help displaced Christians return to their lands.
He insisted that silence is no longer an option and also cautioned people to stop denying that genocide is occurring in Nigeria.
