A Nigerian man has shared details about his visit to his secondary school to check out the tree he planted while in SS 1.
This was captured in a video posted to his TikTok account, @farmer olufad which has garnered over 20,000 likes.
Man Visits Secondary School
In the now‑viral TikTok video, the farmer revealed the name of his secondary school, Alma Master in Lagos and explained that the tree was assigned to him.
He added that he was appointed head of a climate‑change club founded by the former Lagos governor, Raji Fashola.
According to @FarmerOlufad, he initially wanted to study medicine, but eventually studied forestry.
In the video, the farmer expresses excitement as he stands beside the tree.

From secondary school days in 2009. When I headed the Climate Change Club founded by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, all we wanted was to plant a tree and win a prize.
I didn’t win anything then, but I gained something bigger: purpose. 15 years later, I visited my alma mater and my Gmelina arborea is STILL standing tall. Proof that impacts outlives applause.
I thought I wanted medicine, but God planted forestry in me and today, I’m grateful for the journey. Visionary leaders plant seeds, but time reveals their value.
