HUMAN remains found on farmland have been confirmed as that of a man who vanished 18 months ago.
Cops have formally identified the remains are those of missing Trevor Blanchard, 61.
The sad discovery was made on farmland in Halten Holegate in Lincolnshire on November 22 – with cops today confirming the identity.
There had been several appeals by the force between June and October last year to assist in locating Trevor.
He had been reported missing from the Spilsby area of the county.
Officers confirmed Trevor’s family have been informed about the discovery.

They added their “deepest sympathies” to everybody who knew him.
A statement from Lincolnshire Police continued: “We are grateful to everyone who shared those appeals and supported the search.”
The force also said it is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
They say there is no evidence of foul play in connection with the discovery.
It is believed Trevor had been camping in the area when he first went missing over summer last year.
The force in their previous appeals had urged walkers in the countryside around Spilsby to keep an eye out for him.
In one of the last times he was seen alive in public Trevor bought a propane gas bottle.
At the time he was last seen wearing a dark jacket and beige trousers.
