HARRY Potter is heading to Netflix after the streaming giant bought Warner Bros for £54billion.
The deal will create one of the most powerful businesses in entertainment if approved by competition authorities.

Warner Bros owns franchises including Harry Potter — currently licensed to several providers — and Game of Thrones, and streaming service HBO Max.
Netflix co-chief executive Ted Sarandos said the firm is “highly confident” it would get the thumbs up it needs and was heading at “full speed” towards the takeover.
He said that by combining the back catalogue of Netflix and warner Bros films and shows: “we can give audiences more of what they love and help define the next century of storytelling”.
He added: “Warner Bros have defined the last century of entertainment, and together we can define the next one.”

A memo was reportedly sent to Warner Bros employees about the union, which is not likely to happen before the end of 2026.
It read: “This decision reflects the realities of an industry undergoing generational change – in how stories are financed, produced, distributed and discovered – and recognises the strong, transformed company we are today.”
It’s not clear what changes, if any, will impact consumers.
However, the two companies expect that the groundbreaking deal will result in more choice and more value for theconsumeras well as more business opportunities.
