THE US Men’s National Team has been handed a dream draw for the 2026 World Cup

Pot D is confirmed to consist of the United States Men’s National Team, Australia, Paraguay, and the winner of European play-off C.
Australia is the No. 26 ranked country in the world and Paraguay is the no. 39 ranked country in the world.
European play-off C consists of Turkiye, Romania, Slovakia, and Kosovo.
Turkiye is expected to make it out of that play-off, and are ranked No. 25 in the world.
US fans are thrilled to see the Americans’ favorable draw, with some even claiming the draw could have been rigged in favor of the US.
“Lmao Australia in group D!? Rigged,” one fan said.
“FIFA RIGGED THE DRAW FOR USSSS,” another fan said.
“This is definitely rigged. Rigged in our favor though, so I’ll take it haha,” a third fan said.
USMNT boss Pochettino has faith in his squad after seeing the draw, and knows they can go through.
“Believing that we can go through, but we need to perform,” he said after the draw.
“We need to evolve and we need to get better every time we’re together.”
The World Cup is set to kick off on Thursday, June 11 at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
And an expanded 48 team pool has been drawn into 12 groups to compete for the world’s biggest prize.
But it took quite a while to even make it to the draw, as fans grew frustrated with the pomp and circumstance.
Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum led an event that went well beyond schedule, with Gianni Infantino going on and on.
On top of that, time was taken out to present an award to President Donald Trump.
The President was called out for a second time for a ceremonial draw before the real event took place.
However, after the extended ceremony Rio Ferdinand was able to kick off the World Cup 2026 draw.
Sport superstars from North America were on site to pull the balls and announce where each country would be placed.
Tom Brady of the NFL, Shaquille O’Neal of the NBA, Arron Judge of MLB, and Wayne Gretzky handle the draws for pot one through four.
And after all of the ceremony, all 12 groups were filled with the 48 competing countries.
Matchday one takes place between June 11 and June 17, matchday two takes place between June 18 and 23, and matchday three takes place between June 24 and 27.
If the USMNT were to make it out of the group stage, the knockout rounds begin on June 28 and conclude on July 3.
