Jimmy Neutron – Voice Actor Jeff Garcia Dies at 50

Jeff Garcia, the popular comedian and voice actor known for his work on several hit 2000s animated shows, has died, TMZ has learned.
Family members tell TMZ that Garcia passed away early Wednesday morning after being removed from life support Tuesday night at a Southern California hospital, surrounded by loved ones. According to relatives, he had faced serious health problems in recent months. He suffered a brain aneurysm earlier in the year, during which he fell and hit his head. Although he initially recovered, he experienced a stroke several weeks ago.

Sources say Garcia had recently canceled multiple comedy shows due to feeling unwell — something very out of character for him — but he avoided seeking medical treatment, assuming his condition would improve on its own.
TMZ previously reported that Garcia had been hospitalized in late November with pneumonia. Though he improved enough to be discharged, his health declined again. On Monday, he returned to the hospital struggling to breathe, and on Tuesday, his lung collapsed.
While Garcia wasn’t always a widely recognized face, his voice was unmistakable to fans. He became a standout talent through his role as Sheen Estevez in the “Jimmy Neutron” franchise, voicing the energetic character in the 2001 film “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” and 59 episodes of “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.”
Sheen’s popularity later led to the spinoff series “Planet Sheen,” which ran for 26 episodes starting in 2010.
Garcia’s other notable voice roles include work on “Barnyard” and its TV adaptation “Back at the Barnyard,” both “Happy Feet” films, “Marmaduke,” both “Rio” films, and the sitcom “Mr. Box Office,” among others.
TMZ spoke with Garcia in 2012, where he shared candid thoughts on Ashton Kutcher’s controversial Popchips commercial.
Beyond his film and TV credits, Garcia maintained a successful stand-up comedy career and continued performing onstage as recently as early November, just weeks before his final hospitalization.
Jeff Garcia was 50.
