Tinubu Celebrates Wike at 58, Hails FCT Minister as a Standout Cabinet Performer

The president has sent warm birthday wishes to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, , who turned 58 on Friday, December 13.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, , the President commended Wike’s performance in office, applauding his dedication to national development and public service.
As he joined family members, friends, and political associates in celebrating the minister, Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for Wike’s life, describing it as one defined by service, purpose, and courage.
Driving Transformation in the FCT
President Tinubu described Wike as a bold and results-driven leader who has consistently risen above challenges to deliver impactful projects.
He specifically highlighted the minister’s role in accelerating infrastructure development across the Federal Capital Territory, singling out the completion of the long-delayed Apo–Karshi Road as a major achievement. The road project, stalled for 14 years, was described as a crucial step toward improving mobility and connectivity within Abuja.
A Leading Light in the Federal Executive Council
Tinubu praised Wike as one of the most outstanding members of his cabinet, noting that his achievements in the FCT reflect the same energy and effectiveness he displayed while governing Rivers State.
“Nyesom Wike has emerged as one of the shining lights in the cabinet — an exceptional performer whose infrastructure drive in the Federal Capital Territory is unprecedented, proving that his reputation as ‘Mr Project’ extends far beyond Rivers State,” the President said.
He further commended Wike’s resilience, determination, and results-oriented mindset, describing him as a standout figure within the Federal Executive Council and a model of effective leadership.
