JUDE BELLINGHAM has called out reports of a rift between himself and Xabi Alonso after the Real Madrid boss was sacked.

Alonso, 44, left on Monday after just 34 games in charge, with Bellingham claimed to have been one of the senior players who didn’t take to his management.

Following suggestions in various outlets that Bellingham opposed Alonso and his ideas, along with Vinicius Jr and Federico Valverde, the 22-year-old has spoken out.

In a statement on his JB5 app, Bellingham said: “Until now I’ve let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time.

“But honestly… What a load of sh*t. Truly feel sorry for the people that hang on to the every word of these clowns and their ‘sources’.

“Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy.”

Bellingham played 29 times for the former Bayer Leverkusen head coach, scoring six times and assisting five goals.

With it widely said that Alonso did not have the full backing of the Madrid squad from as early as November, Bellingham is one of those to come in for criticism and speculation.

Reports claimed a divide appeared in the dressing room with Kylian Mbappe, Arda Guler, Aurelien Tchouameni, Dani Ceballos and Raul Asencio all in Alonso’s camp.

Mbappe, who has been in a rich vein of form under Alonso, was the first to thank him online.

He wrote: “It’s been short but it was a pleasure to play for you and learn from you.

“Thank you for giving me the confidence since Day 1.

“I will remember you as a manager who had clear ideas and knows many things about football.

“Best of luck for your next chapter.”

Alonso himself came out and said: “This professional stage is over, and it didn’t go as we would have liked.

“Coaching Real Madrid has been an honor and a responsibility.

“I thank the club, the players and above all the fans and Madrid fans for their trust and support.

“I leave with respect, gratitude, and pride that I did my best.”

Bellingham missed the start of the season through injury as Madrid won their first four league games, scoring eight and conceding just two.

After getting back to fitness he has been near ever-present for Los Blancos.
