Soul singer who has 2.8m listeners on Spotify revealed as AI-generated fake

AdminBy AdminJanuary 14, 2026Updated:January 15, 2026No Comments10 Mins Read

“SUCH beautiful music, my goodness,” one person wrote, while another commented, “I am utterly captivated.”

They are just some of the compliments being showered on breakout neo-soul singer Sienna Rose, whose statistics as a brand new artist are pretty mind-blowing.

She has 2.7million monthly listeners on Spotify, and she has been praised for her rich and silky vocals, as well as her classic songwriting — even garnering comparisons to woman-of-the-moment Olivia Dean.

But there is just one problem: Sienna Rose doesn’t exist.

What many believed was a fledgling artist with an incredible talent has been debunked as a completely fictitious artist, whose image, songs and voice have all been created by AI.

That hasn’t stopped streaming services from serving her music out to its listeners, without letting on that she isn’t real.

RING THE ALARM

North West, 12, gives shocking close-up look at finger piercings

And it’s already proving fruitful.

Calculations suggest the massive amount of streams equate to £2,000 a day for whichever money-grabbing, creatively-devoid loser who is behind it.

Sienna released a six-track EP in September, titled Velvet Embrace, followed by an eight-track project the following month, and a nine-track EP called The Shape of Tenderness, in November.

It was certainly a productive period, because then she put out her ten-track “debut album” Honey On The Moon in December.

For me, it is a sinister move that this AI slop is being served up to people with no indication that not an ounce of real creativity has gone into it.

Her Spotify page gives no inkling of who she truly is.

It says: “Inspired by the analogue textures of 1960s soul yet rooted in today’s sound, Sienna’s music feels cinematic and deeply personal. Every note she sings carries a sense of truth and beauty, making Sienna Rose not just a performer, but a storyteller of the heart.”

But that’s not remotely true, is it?

Sienna Rose has been created by the same shady figure who made an AI reggae act called Let Babylon Burn, which has 756k monthly listeners.

In a bid to deceive people, the “star” has an Instagram profile with AI-generated images of concerts, with claims that he has been performing live which, of course, he hasn’t because he isn’t real.

A man called Robert Lancaster is said to be behind him, although it is unclear who exactly that is.

Spotify told me that a wide variety of established acts use AI to make music now, which makes any potential labelling of its use difficult.

And it believes listeners ought to have the choice to listen to whatever they want on the platform, although it doesn’t actively promote AI acts over real life artists.

Meanwhile music platform Bandcamp announced this week that “music generated wholly or in substantial part by AI is not permitted.” Although

I’m not optimistic that others will follow suit.

And if the future of music is altogether computer-generated, it spells the end of culture altogether.

Celeste swag claim

Singer Celeste has hit out at Justin BieberCredit: Getty

BRIT/US singer-songwriter Celeste has hit out at Justin Bieber, claiming she co-wrote one of his most recent songs but wasn’t credited for it.

The Brit Award winner took to Instagram to share a screenshot of Justin’s track Don’t Wanna, which was on 2025 album Swag II, and said: “Wrote on this, still waiting for my credits tho”, followed by yawning emojis.

She then posted a screenshot of the people listed on Spotify as being involved in “writing and arrangement”,” which had Justin’s name first alongside seven others – but not hers.

Celeste said: “Interesting, Don’t see my name,” before adding: “I literally wrote most of the song.”

And she went on to post photos of robbers dressed stereotypically in black and white-striped tops, and carrying swag bags.

Justin’s team has yet to respond to the claims, but Celeste is clearly incensed.

And given that he has millions of fans buying and streaming his tracks, she will deserve a pretty penny if what she says is true.

What’s the Story?

THE Brit Award nominees will be announced from 5pm on January 21.

Influencer Charley Marlowe and DJ Sarah Story will reveal the shortlist on a live stream on the Brit Awards’ official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

These include a one-day creative forum and showcase of exciting new musicians the night before the ceremony at New Century Hall.

MADISON BEER was on song during a performance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show in the US.

And her fans here don’t have long to wait before the American singer-songwriter is back performing on our shores.

Madison has confirmed she is bringing her Locket tour to the UK this spring – after gigs here as part of her Spinnin tour in the spring of 2024.

She will sing at London’s O2 Arena on May 30 and at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena the following night in the biggest UK gigs of her career so far.

Her new record, Locket, comes out tomorrow and on Jimmy’s show she performed her tune, Bad Enough, for the first time.

Fans who pre-order her album on her official website can access pre-sale tickets for her UK shows on Sunday at 3pm.

The general sale starts next Wednesday.

MILEY CYRUS says “thanks a bunch” to fans for making megahit Flowers her most popular tune.

The singer looked blooming gorgeous posing on Instagram in a black dress and stilettos to mark three years since the chart-topping single came out.

It has been streamed more than 2.7billion times to become her best-loved track.

The former Disney star wrote: “Still madly in love with this song. Thank you for continuing to listen, I love making music for you. XoMC.”

Bafta eyes rising five

BAFTA have revealed their five nominees for this year’s Rising Star award – a gong previously handed out to stars including Tom Holland, Tom Hardy and Emma Mackey.

Archie Madekwe, who was in psychological thriller Lurker, Chase Infiniti who features in One Battle After The Other and Sinners’ Miles Caton are among the actors in line for the nod.

Posy Sterling, who made waves in hard- hitting film Lollipop, and Robert Aramayo, who starred in Scottish film I Swear, are also in the running.

During the nomination launch at The Savoy hotel in London yesterday, Posy said she was stunned by her nomination.

Like other nominees, she had to keep the news under wraps until it was officially unveiled.

Posy revealed: “I remember when I got the call, I was at the top of a mountain. My agent asked if I was alone and I wasn’t, I was with my two friends.

“So I had to go off and was told, and I had a good cry.

“Then I went back to them and I had to walk down the mountain saying nothing, even though I felt amazing.”

Mia McKenna-Bruce, who won the award in 2024 and is in Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials – out on Netflix today – was on hand to give her advice to the nominees.

Mia told them: “Thrive off the chaos. And prepare something in case you win as it’s scary up there.”

This year’s ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 22 at the Royal Festival Hall in London, with Alan Cumming taking over from David Tennant as the host.

Last year, Take That were the live performers on the night and I’ve heard this year’s act is just as exciting.

Hil’s hits get Swift revamp

Hilary Duff is taking a leaf out of Taylor Swift’s book by re-recording some of her biggest hitsCredit: Getty

FORMER Disney star Hilary Duff is taking a leaf out of Taylor Swift’s book by re-recording some of her biggest hits.

The Lizzie McGuire star has opted for the new tracks to simply have “(Mine)” added to the titles, while Tay went for “Taylor’s Version”.

And the tunes are being scattered on special editions of Hilary’s upcoming album Luck… Or Something, set to be released on February 20.

But rather than being a way to own her masters, I’m told the new songs are simply updated versions of tracks featuring Hilary’s more mature voice.

She was just a teenager when she was at the height of her fame and first recorded them.

On Monday, Hilary will play her first show in a decade at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.

Bizarre’s Jack will be front and centre. For him, this is What Dreams Are Made Of.

BTS back at it

BTS have announced two huge UK shows this summer.

The K-Pop stars will take to the stage at the mighty Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 6/7.

BTS announced their comeback this month after they had to do mandatory national service in South Korea in 2022.

Given the popularity of these seven lads, I think the tickets will sell like hot cakes.

Gaga’s intimate LA gig

SHE’S hotly tipped to finally win Album Of The Year at next month’s Grammys and is in the middle of her Mayhem Ball tour, but Lady Gaga isn’t resting on her laurels.

Last night, the pop superstar played a one-off show at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

But fans without a ticket won’t have to wait long to see Gaga’s Mayhem: Requiem, as the show was filmed for Apple Music.

The concert saw the Abracadabra singer perform her chart-topping Mayhem album in full.

Gaga last played the venue in March 2009 as part of her first ever trek, called The Fame Ball Tour.

I’m sure it was an emotional night.

Euro record

THE 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest sold out in record time, despite recent scandals.

Tickets for the grand final in Vienna in May were all snapped up within 14 minutes of going on sale.

There are also two live preview performances, and tickets for those were also all gone within an hour.

It follows the withdrawal of five nations from the contest over Israel’s participation.

Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey have confirmed they are to star in a new production of Sunday In The Park With GeorgeCredit: instagram/jbayleaf

ARIANA GRANDE and Jonathan Bailey have confirmed they are to star in a new production of Sunday In The Park With George.

I told in November how the pair were in talks to be in a revival of the musical, and now they’ve teased it with this snap.

It shows them in front of the painting that inspired the show, and the caption, “All it has to be is good,” which is a lyric from the title song.

Yesterday it was announced the show will be at London’s Barbican Theatre in 2027, with tickets going on sale this May.
