The pair have some long-standing history after growing up together as teenagers, with Helena previously claiming that he “shut down her 16th birthday party”.
In a twist of fate, the pair actually went to school together, and weren’t the best of friends.
Charlie first appeared on the show in 2018,seven years before Helena, who was a Love Island fan.
But watching the show and recognising Charlie, she tweeted at the time: “Nah that Charlie Fredrick kid got my 16th party closed down, said I looked like a dolphin”.
After the tweet resurfaced, a source told The Sun that while the pair did know each other several years ago, Helena couldn’t remember the ins and outs of their apparent feud.

However, she was quick to bring it up after entering the villa – telling their co-stars how Charlie had said she “looked like a dolphin”.
Defending himself, Charlie admitted he couldn’t remember it, but apologised to Helena for any hurt caused.
If their awkward interaction wasn’t bad enough, Charlie and Helena will be sharing a bed in the villa due to the public vote.
The public’s choices for the rest of the islanders don’t seem to be love matches either, with sweet store owner Sean Stone partnered with Belle Hassan.
But earlier in the episode, the latter described Sean as “no good” during a challenge due to his cringey chat-up lines.
The ice-breaker game saw the female islanders each choose one boy that could be good for them and one boy that would be ‘no good’.
And after Whitney Adebayo chose Jack Keating for her ‘no good’ boy, she later found out they had been coupled up by the public.
Things were looking up when Tommy Bradley was paired with Jess Harding, after it was revealed the pair actually have some secret history.
Within moments of entering the villa, Tommy revealed that he had previously slid into Jess’ Instagram DMs.
He wasn’t the only one who had messaged Jess before, with Ciaran Davies admitting he has also tried his luck with the blonde beauty back home.
However, Ciaran was partnered with Millie Court, not too long after she had declared the 22-year-old was much too young for her.
She also joked to pal Whitney that she would not go for a Welsh boy, following her split from Welsh beau Liam Reardon last year.
Finally, Shaq Muhammed and Leanne Amaning were coupled together.
Leanne may be steering clear of Shaq, though, after she declared him “no good” in the ice-breaker game due to being friends with his ex, Tanya Manhenga.
