Fury predicts KO in Chisora vs Wilder and urges chiefs to sanction title fight

TYSON FURY has demanded Derek Chisora vs Deontay Wilder be sanctioned for a special title if they are to fight.

Former WBC champion Wilder and British veteran Chisora are in talks for a bout in April in London.

And one man who knows the pair more than anyone is Fury – having beaten Chisora three times and Wilder twice after their original 2018 draw.

And the Gypsy King has made his prediction for the fight – and called on the governing bodies to put up a belt for the occasion.

He said on Instagram: “I have just seen that Chisora and Deontay Wilder are going to have a fight. I think this is a great fight.

“I fought both of these men three times. But on this one, I am going with my boy ‘Del Boy’ ‘War’ Chisora for a stoppage.

“Get up there, Derek, come on. It’s coming home. And there should be a belt on the line as well.

“So, one of your sanctioning bodies, you have got two legendary fighters.

“A champion with 10 title defences from the USA and an absolute warlord from the United Kingdom.

“He has fought everybody, has ducked nobody and would have been a good heavyweight in any era, Derek Chisora. Put a belt on the line, boys!”

Chisora, 42, posted a mysterious video on Instagram appearing to sign a contract for his 50th and final fight.

Brunch Boxing were the first to report on the talks and fight with Wilder, 40, whose manager Shelly Finkel confirmed the negotiations.

Finkel told Sky Sports: “We are in negotiations and it’s close.”

Wilder’s career looked in crisis after losses in Saudi Arabia to Joseph Parker, 33, and Zhilei Zhang, 42.

But he did return in a low-profile comeback win last June against little-known Tyrrell Herndon in Kansas.

Wilder was in talks to fight Oleksandr Usyk, 38, after repeated call-outs from the Ukrainian unified world champ.

But he now looks set to first face Chisora – who he faced off with in Dubai in December.
