SHAMED Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has made his first secret visit to have the curtains measured up at his new home in exile.
The disgraced former Duke, set to set to exit Royal Lodge within weeks, checked out the renovations on Marsh Farm.
It comes days after we revealed removal vans were emptying his Windsor mansion and work was in full swing to prepare the smaller Sandringham property.
He travelled there this week to look around the place, which now has extra security and is surrounded by 6ft fences.
It was thought he will stay at neighbouring Wood Farm Cottage until Marsh Farm is finished.
A friend said: “It was the first timehe’sseen his newhouseand he is resigned to the fact that this is his future.

It was believed King Charles’s brother will hand back the keys to Royal Lodge before his 66th birthday on February 19 — but he could even be out by the end of this month.
Buckingham Palace announced in October he had handed back his lease after he was stripped of his titles following sex allegations and links to US paedo Jeffrey Epstein.
A steady stream of removal vans has been seen leaving the Windsor property for several weeks.
And on Tuesday, he was seen driving himself out at around 9am in one of his Range Rovers, before arriving at Sandringham just after midday.
It is believed he sneaked on to the King’s estate using one of many farm-track rear entrances.
An onlooker said they saw several black Range Rovers hurtling along the tracks from Wood Farm towards Marsh Farm.
Police have been circling the area in unmarked cars during renovations, with a flow of nearby residents driving past to take a look.
Builders continued to work on the property this week. And last week, Sky TV was installed for Andrew.
One local said she could not believe he would be “downgrading” to the five-bed farmhouse, adding: “There’sbarely any drive.
“He’llbe right on the road. Hewon’tget much peace.”
Another said: “Even this place is too good for him — it’s still not bad for exile, is it?”
Ex-wife Sarah, 66, is also due to leave Royal Lodge but it was not yet known where she will live.

The monarch has started selling bowls ofthe spicydish, right, for £10 at its restaurant.
It ismade with 100 per cent grass-fed meat from his 2,000-strong flock ofAberfieldsheep, reared at the Norfolk retreat.
Visitors can also tuck into a beef cobbler with rosemary scones — made from cattle also kept on the estate — and afive beanvegan chilli.
But it is the curry that willmost likely appealto fellow royals — with the Princess of Wales previously revealing it is one of her go-to dishes at her Windsor home.
Curry is also a firm favourite for Princess Charlotte — although Prince William told BBC Radio 1 last year: “Ican’tdo too much spice, I start sweating.It’snot attractive.”
