Both Chelsea and West Ham United will look to continue their strong form when they meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Life has scarcely begun better for Liam Rosenior since replacing Enzo Maresca in west London, with the only blemish on his record a narrow defeat to Arsenal.
The 41-year-old has won five of his six matches in charge, including four in a row following Chelsea’s impressive 3-2 victory over Napoli in midweek – a side that had not previously lost at home since December 2024!
That win secured Chelsea a top-eight finish in the Champions League, meaning any play-off rounds have been avoided and full focus can now shift to a top-four push in the Premier League.
And the outlook is encouraging against Saturday’s visitors, particularly with Cole Palmer, Estevao and Joao Pedro all reenergised under Rosenior.
Chelsea have won their last four Premier League meetings with West Ham by an aggregate score of 15-2, while the Hammers have managed just one win in their last 19 league visits to Stamford Bridge (D4 L14).
That said, West Ham shouldn’t be written off.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side arrive on the back of consecutive Premier League victories over Tottenham and Sunderland – results that have breathed new life into their survival hopes. The Hammers now sit just five points adrift with 15 matches still to play.

Is he back? There are certainly encouraging signs that Cole Palmer is edging his way back towards his brilliant best after a couple of strong recent performances.
The England international, 23, has featured in two matches since Liam Rosenior’s arrival, scoring once and providing two assists in that time. He also enjoys this fixture, having scored twice in his last three meetings with West Ham and winning all four of his Premier League appearances against the Hammers.
