THEYwere gathered outside the Newcastle restaurant, howling abuse and waving their stupid placards.
Then they started smashing up the front of the restaurant. All the time chanting: “Far-right swine out of Tyne.”
What had angered them so? Just this. A man who had political views with which they disagreed had gone into the restaurant to have something to eat. That man was Nigel Farage.
And outside, the screaming, mental, mob. How dare he have something to eat! He disagrees with me about some stuff! He shouldn’t ever be allowed to eat. Or breathe.
This is the kinder, gentler, Left in action. The utter scum of our country.
These are the people who will lie, bully, intimidate and physically attack people they disagree with. They have been doing it for years.
And just watch what they get up to during the Gorton and Denton by-election.
‘Misinform people’
In fact they have already started. The Labour Party has decided to start lying about Reform UK’s candidate for the crucial seat, Matt Goodwin.
They claimed that he had been very rude about Manchester in an interview.
They took a quote from Goodwin’s interview and reprinted it.
“I was lucky enough, or unfortunate enough, to be in Manchester a few days ago and the energy in this room is ten times what it was in Manchester, so congratulations,” is what they quoted him as saying.
Then they added the caption: “This is what Reform’s latest candidate thinks about where he’s standing to represent.”
But Goodwin had not been talking about Manchester, the city where his family is from, incidentally.
He had been talking about the Conservative Party Conference which he had attended in Manchester.
He was referring to a lack of energy among the Tories.
Keir Starmer constantly blames the British people for what he calls misinformation but here is Keir Starmer and the Labour Party deliberately trying to misinform the people of Gorton and Denton.
Rod Liddle
And here’s the thing. Whoever put out that Labour Party social media post knew Goodwin had been talking about the Tories and not Manchester.
In other words, they straight-out lied. I’m delighted to say that Goodwin has reported them to the police.
He said: “We at Reform UK have just given formal notice to Greater Manchester Police under section 106 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 regarding the sharing dissemination of false statements about my candidacy at this by-election.
“Keir Starmer constantly blames the British people for what he calls misinformation but here is Keir Starmer and the Labour Party deliberately trying to misinform the people of Gorton and Denton.”
They have been doing this for years. Taking quotes out of context — again, lying in other words. They’ve done it to me hundreds of times.
So, lying is the first tactic. Then there is the hyperbolic abuse. In which anyone who dares to suggest that perhaps we have a problem with immigration in this country is a “Nazi”. Or a “fascist”.
These are people who have no clue as to what these insults really mean, of course.
Reform are routinely referred to as “Nazis” by the blue-haired, nose-ring crowd.
But Labour politicians get in on the act as well. That political colossus David Lammy once said that Conservative Party supporters of Brexit were similar to Adolf Hitler’s Nazis.
Then, when challenged, he doubled down and said they were worse than Nazis. All for the grave crime of wanting to leave the European Union.
Other tactics of the kinder, gentler, democratic Left?
Well, here’s one. What’s the best thing to do if elections are coming up and you don’t think your party is going to win?
Easy peasy. Cancel the elections. That’s why a third of the council elections that were supposed to take place in May won’t happen.
Because Labour has left it up to the councils to decide if they want elections or not.
And guess what? A whole bunch of Labour councils decided that they didn’t.
The lefties scream about the right-wingers — the “fascists” — being undemocratic.
But it’s the Left that has cancelled elections because they didn’t think that they would win them.
That’s the kind of tactic you see in Venezuela or Palestine.
Add to all this the silencing of debate. The screeches of rage when people who they don’t agree with get a chance to speak.
The cancelling of careers, the vilification of individuals. The massed protests at universities when someone who believes that someone with a todger is probably a man has been invited to speak.
The campaigns of hatred stopping supposedly “right-wing” comedians from being allowed to tell jokes at the Edinburgh fringe.
The demands for books, plays, films which challenge their idiotic worldview to be picketed or banned or both.
The trouble is, they have been indulged for far too long.
And so we have police who harass, bully and try to prosecute people for saying something the Left doesn’t agree with online.
No chance
And our politicians decide there ought to be a crime called “Islamophobia” to stop anybody who dares to criticise the, uh, religion of peace. Or suggests that Islam might be connected to terrorist attacks.
And the sacking and prosecution of ordinary women who have dared to object to men dressed as women invading their changing rooms.
The reason they resort to these tactics is that without them, they’d stand no chance of succeeding in their political aims.
The only way they can win political battles is by, as I said before, lying, intimidation, bullying and when it comes down to it, violence.
Debated in the open, they lose every single time. So they need to queer the pitch a little. To make it either illegal to oppose their views or to make people too frightened to say what they really think.
Keep an eye on this by-election. There are just three weeks to go and you can bet your bottom dollar Labour and the Greens, a party which once was fairly sensible but now resembles the Socialist Workers Party, will be screaming fascist and telling lies all the way to polling day.
They can’t help themselves. It’s what they do.
WELFARE MADNESS
IF those contestants in the Gorton and Denton by-election were serious about mending this country, then they would pledge to drastically reduce our welfare bill.
It has just been calculated there are more than SIX MILLION people working in Britain who’d get more if they signed off on the sick.
That’s nearly a quarter of the workforce being paid less than people who do nothing whatsoever.
The Centre for Social Justice calculated our spending on sickness and disability benefits is due to reach £109billion per year by the end of the decade.
The reason so few people want to work is that benefits are too high, tax on individuals is too high and wages too low.
IS there anyone left in the world who Peter Mandelson hasn’t tried to sponge money off?
We now discover Jeffrey Epstein bunged Mandy a check for $75,000. That news was in the same batch of files as the photo of Mandelson in his underpants at Epstein’s pad.
Peter can’t recall what he was up to. But it’s clear the oily peer had very close links with Epstein.
Those of us with memories knew it would end in tears when he was made Ambassador to the US. Peter Mandelson is a devious, grasping, amoral sycophant. Please let us hear no more from him ever again.
