Your food won my heart — Lady seeks advice as her driver falls in love with her

AdminBy AdminFebruary 6, 2026Updated:February 6, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

A Nigerian lady has sparked heated debate on social media after sharing a personal relationship dilemma on X (formerly Twitter), drawing thousands of reactions from users with sharply divided opinions.

In her post, the lady explained that a man has been driving her to work every day without collecting any money.

Out of appreciation, she said she often brings food for him whenever she cooks.

According to her, the situation recently took an unexpected turn when the man confessed his feelings, claiming her food and kindness had “won his heart.”

She added that she is already in a relationship and that the man is fully aware of this.

Confused by the development, she asked the public for advice, questioning whether she should inform her boyfriend and how to handle the man who drives her.

Her post read: “There’s a man that drives me to work everyday and doesn’t collect a dime from me so anytime I cook, I try bringing for him too as my own way of showing gratitude.

“Now he said he loves me and my food has won his heart. The issue is that I have a man and he knows

“Should I tell my man about it or not and I don’t know what to do with the man?”

The post quickly went viral, triggering a flood of reactions ranging from blunt criticism to cautious advice.

Fozz took a controversial stance, writing: “You wan tell your man say your driver like you ke? Skill issue, you fit dey run both na on a low.”

Adeyeye criticised her confusion, saying: “Why are you confused when you have a man. If you want to cheat, be bold Ogbeni.”

Queen Oma urged transparency but drew a distinction based on marital status.

She wrote: “You have to be transparent here and don’t create problems on your future. The man you are referring to is he a husband to you? Tell him if he is your husband.”

Dazi offered a more reflective response, highlighting emotional boundaries and communication.

He wrote: “Depends on your value! But you know who your hearts beats for!! Kind gestures are actually enough to stire emotions and that’s where communication comes in.

“If you don’t want it to go further and not lose the free ride and you are cool with appreciating with food? Tell him.”

Adedee advised against disclosure, suggesting a personal choice instead. He wrote: “No need to tell ur man Look into the two of them and pick the one that suites u o no go use say because e de drive u go work go choose am o.”

Wagon, however, suggested a clear-cut solution, saying: “Then you have to stop the free ride that you’re getting and be going to work by yourself.”
