LOVE Island viewers are convinced a major show rule was broken last night as the villa descended into chaos.
There were tears, tantrums and broken friendships as the All Stars clashed over messy connections.
And the fan theory is that the heated rivalries were fuelled by booze, with the suggestion the usual limit of just one or two pre-poured drinks per star, per night, has gone out the window.
Writing on a Reddit fan forum, one person said: “Just a theory, but I think they were allowed an extra drink or two tonight. That’s why the emotions spilled out. I could hear some inebriation in their voices, especially Jessy, Sean and Whit.
“Tonight reminded me of the early seasons. I know alcohol is limited, but I wonder if every now and then the producers allow them a bit extra.”
They weren’t the only one to speculate.

“I feel like they’ve been giving them extra drinks too,” said another fan. “The night where Jess was calling out Whitney for forgetting Konnor’s name, I thought they were all hammered lmao.”
A third said: “I think this season has definitely upped the alcohol, I’ve noticed it a few times. I usually feel so bad for them and their one tiny wine drink.”
Another accused Jessy Potts of slurring her words and questioned why both she and Lucinda were so tearful.
A spokesperson for the show told us: “Nothing has changed, Love Island has a two drink limit per Islander.”
Last night Lucinda Strafford decided to confront Belle Hassan yet again over the double standard of her flirting with Scott van-der-Sluis and hurting Leanne Amaning.
The Brighton girl believes Belle was hypocritical when she screamed at her for stealing Sean Stone in similar circumstances.
The rest of the villa, growing weary of the seemingly endless argument, watched as the Belle and Lucinda parted ways.
New bombshell Jessy then decided to go and check in on Lucinda but ended up unintentionally offending her.
Jessy tried to explain how she thinks Lucinda is actually a lot smarter than she lets on.
“You know, when you do the ‘baby voice’ and it’s like ‘oh well I didn’t know’ [said in a baby tone]…,” Jessy began.
“I don’t do that,” Lucinda retaliated. “You think I do that baby voice, like, on purpose? It’s the way I am.”
The duo then began arguing about Lucinda’s speech during the recoupling in which she chose Sean and made slights at Belle in her speech.
“It was one sentence,” Lucinda yelled at Jessy. “No offence it’s kind of nothing to do with you.”
“Neither are half of the situations you’ve been involved with Lucinda, I’ve been really sat back on this,” Jessy retorted.
Lucinda eventually stormed off as Jessy said “you’re going to make yourself look like a t**t Lucinda, I’m trying to be here for you.”
Lucinda ran straight to Sean in tears and told him that Jessy said she acts dumb and uses a baby voice, which Sean disagreed with.
He later went to Jessy and told her it was never her place “to say anything anyway”.
Though he didn’t yell and kept level-headed, it’s clear he was frustrated and the whole situation left Jessy in tears.
Belle was furious that Lucinda and Sean had caused yet more drama and Jessy had ended up sobbing.
She said: “No one’s going to say it but I f*****g will.” She then ranted about being sick of two people making the villa impossible to live in.
Love Island All Stars airs at 9pm onITV2andITVX.
Love Island’s Villa Rules
Two-Drink Limit: Islanders are typically restricted to two glasses of wine or beer per night. They are never allowed to get “drunk.”
No Smoking/Vaping on Camera: You won’t see Islanders smoking or vaping on screen. If they want to smoke or vape, they must go to a designated area one at a time so they don’t gossip off-camera.
No Clocks or Watches: Islanders are famously forbidden from knowing the time. This helps keep them focus on their interactions rather than how long they’ve been filming.
Limited Phone Use: They are given “Samsung” phones, but these are only for receiving texts from producers or taking photos. They have no internet access or outside contact.
The “One Meal” Rule: Islanders only cook their own breakfast. Lunch and dinner are provided by a catering team through a “secret door” in the pantry.
Safe Sex: The show provides condoms, and their use is mandatory.
Prohibited Behavior: There is a zero-tolerance policy for physical violence, aggressive behavior, or “inappropriate language” (including racist, homophobic, or sexist slurs).
Morning Chats: Every morning, producers instruct the boys and girls to split up and “debrief” on the previous night’s events.
The Pool Rule: Islanders are often told not to have serious relationship chats in the pool because the splashing water makes it difficult for their microphones to pick up clear audio.
