A MOTORSPORT race was stopped after three cars were involved in a sickening crash as one burst into flames.
The horrendous scene came during the Intercontinental GP Challenge 12 hours race in Bathurst, Australia.
It happened after Johannes Zegler’s Porsche remained stationary on the track alongside another vehicle.
But officials couldn’t get the message across to the other drivers as race leader Ralf Aron’s car smashed into Zegler and was engulfed in flames.
Both men managed to escape their cars, with Zegler leaving his vehicle unscathed, while Aron is in a stable condition after being taken to hospital.
A red flag was immediately waved after a drama-filled race day that saw another car burst into flames earlier on – while one driver collided with a KANGAROO.

The commentator claimed one of the teams were having communication issues, adding: “The team probably saw the same footage we saw, but couldn’t communicate to their driver.”
Broadcaster Shea Adam said: “The good news is Ralf is stable,’ Shea Adam said on the broadcast.
“He is being transported to a local hospital in Orange for further observation.”
There was also concern for driver James Golding, who escaped his own fireball crash when his Audi drifted out of control before spinning into a wall.
He was unharmed in the crash as team owner Mark Rosser said: “The first thing is Jimmy is alright. He got out of the car so that’s the main thing. The car is probably toast.”
Meanwhile, HRT Ford Racing driver Christopher Mies suffered a horrifying crash as his Ford Mustang GT3 hit a kangaroo at 155mph – only seeing it at the last moment.
Mies was covered in kangaroo blood and he narrowly avoided serious injury after being unable to see. He later vomited after being left overwhelmed by the gruesome scenes.
The German driver explained the horror moment after the race. He said: “So the moment I saw it was the impact.
“It was very unfortunate and it was quite a big one, but honestly, I’m glad that we have such a safe race car, it could have been much worse.
“The issue was, I couldn’t see anything anymore, the windshield was fully smashed. Obviously, I was covered in blood and whatever is inside a kangaroo,.
“My eyes were full of blood and, how you call it, the guts from the kangaroo, so I had to clean them first because I had no idea where I was.
“I looked through the side window, saw a wall and tried to go as close as possible to the wall on the left side.
“I still saw the cars coming from the rear, so I wanted to be in a safe place as much as possible, not that someone doesn’t see me or whatever and hits me again. So I just tried to make it the safe way.”
