A couple has shared a humorous experience that unfolded after they devised a secret code word to maintain privacy around their five-year-old child, sparking laughter and conversation among parents navigating similar challenges.
Man and wife come up with secret code for intimacy
According to the father, he and his wife agreed to use the word “typewriter” whenever they wanted to be intimate, hoping the child would remain unaware of adult matters. However, the arrangement reportedly led to a series of comical misunderstandings.
“I told my daughter, ‘Go tell mommy daddy needs to type a letter,’” the father said. “She came back saying, ‘Mommy says you can’t right now, there’s a red ribbon in the typewriter.’ A few days later, the situation repeated. She ran between us, delivering messages in her literal interpretation of our code word.”
Daughter deliver message literally
The couple described the child’s unintended mediation as both amusing and impressive, highlighting how perceptive children can be. “She came to me, then ran back to her mom and said, ‘Daddy said never mind, he already wrote the letter by hand, it only took a minute, and he told me not to tell you!’” the father added.
