They wiped everything, only ₦194 was left – Lady cries out, alleges millions vanished from her FirstBank account

A Nigerian lady has cried out on social media after alleging that millions of naira disappeared from her FirstBank account, leaving her with just ₦194.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter, the visibly emotional woman explained that she operates three bank accounts – Moniepoint, Opay and FirstBank – but keeps the bulk of her savings in her FirstBank account. She said she first noticed something was wrong while trying to access the account at the market on Thursday.

In her words, she said:

“This morning, I said let me check my account because I have about three accounts – Moniepoint, Opay and my FirstBank. I used to put all my money in my FirstBank. That’s my main account. On Thursday, I tried logging in, but they kept saying my password was wrong. They even restricted me.”

She revealed that she did not think much of the incident at the time because she could not imagine anyone gaining access to her account.

However, when she checked the account again the following morning, she claimed almost all the money had been withdrawn, leaving only ₦194 behind. She described the missing funds as her life savings and said she was left devastated by the discovery.

“Only for me to check this morning and find out that they wiped everything in my account. The money remaining there is just ₦194. ₦194.

The person took all the money in my account. How will somebody be that wicked? I don’t know where to start from. My millions, all my life savings is gone,” she added.

The video has since generated reactions online, with many Nigerians sympathising with the lady while advising her to immediately report the incident to FirstBank and the relevant security agencies.
