Complain too much and god will send you home — Odumeje

Controversial Nigerian cleric Chukwuemeka Odumeje has stirred reactions online following remarks he made about excessive complaining to God.

Speaking during a sermon, the cleric warned that constantly complaining about life could make a person ungrateful for what they already have.

According to him, there is a level of constant complaining that, in his words, could make even God “tired” of listening.

“There’s a kind of complaint that you’ll be complaining every time, you cannot even appreciate the life you have,” he said.

Odumeje added that people should learn to show gratitude rather than always focusing on their problems when they pray.

“There’s a way you’ll complain too much… every time you wake up you’re knocking. Are you the only one on this earth?” he said, urging people to balance their prayers with appreciation and contentment.
