Celebrity socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The nightlife entrepreneur made the announcement in a video shared on Instagram, where he confirmed plans to represent Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.
Moves into politics
Okechukwu disclosed that he visited the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress to formally notify party leaders of his ambition and congratulate the newly emerged state working committee.
Accompanying the video, he wrote, “Stopped by at our great party state secretariat to congratulate & encourage our state working committee on their emergence and above all, I made known to them my humble aspirations to represent my people, the good people of Orsu/Orlu & Oru East Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Reps. Na God get power, let the will of God be done.”
Seeks support, calls for unity
In the video, he appealed to party leaders for their support as he prepares for the race.
“I’ll be running for the office of the Federal House of Representatives. So, all I’m asking is for your blessings,” he said.
He also urged party members to remain united, calling on them to work together as “brothers, sisters, and party people” to achieve shared political goals.
Growing political role
Okechukwu’s declaration comes amid increasing political activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
He is actively involved in the City Boy Movement, a support group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and the Renewed Hope Agenda, where he serves as the Imo State Director.
