Tom Hardy Settles Beef With MobLand Producers, Back in for Potential Season 3

AdminBy AdminJuly 1, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

Tom Hardy appears to be back in the fold at MobLand.

The actor had reportedly clashed with producers of the Paramount+ series during the filming of season two; THR reported that Hardy at times refused to leave his trailer and gave script notes to executive producer Jez Butterworth and MobLand creator Ronan Barrett.

“He kept the cast waiting, [which is] a power play,” a source told THR. “Keeping[co-stars] Pierce Brosnan,Helen Mirrenand others waiting is career suicide, I would wager.”

Now, though, Hardy and the show’s producers appear to have patched things up. Hardy, Butterworth and executive producer David Glasser of 101 Studios met in London to chart a way forward. Executive producer Guy Ritchie, who has directed several episodes of the series, also played a part in the detente.

Season two of MobLand is slated to premiere later this year. Paramount+ hasn’t formally renewed the series for a third season, but the production had been targeting a fall start for filming on a new season. With Hardy back on board, that date looks easier to make.

Paramount+ declined comment.

In MobLand, Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer for a London-based crime family headed by Conrad and Maeve Harrigan (Brosnan and Mirren). The series also stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, Mandeep Dhillon, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Janet McTeer, Jordi Mollà and Toby Jones.

Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios produce the series. Butterworth, Barrett and Glasser executive produce with Ritchie, Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, Kris Thykier, Ivan Atkinson, Hardy, Dean Baker, Anthony Byrne, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin and Bob Yari.

Deadline first reported the news.
