The graduate identified on TikTok as @Just Ola noted that the celebration meant even more to his family because of a discouraging remark they had received years earlier about his educational journey.

According to him, someone had once told his mother to wait and see whether her son would ever finish his degree.
Rather than allowing the statement to discourage them, he said they remained steadfast in their faith and believed that the outcome would be determined by God instead of people’s opinions.
Reflecting on his academic journey, the graduate said he responded to the negative remark by reminding his mother that human words could never outweigh God’s promises.
