“Low Rider”
The band Conflict shaped in 1969, in Lengthy Seashore, California. “Low Rider” is from their 1975 album Why Can’t We Be Pals? The track was successful as quickly because it got here out. It went to #1 on the Billboard R&B charts, and it’s simply had large lasting energy ever since. Moreover being within the film Dazed and Confused, the place I heard it, it’s been sampled by the Beastie Boys, it was lined by Korn, and it was the theme track for all six seasons of The George Lopez Present.
For this episode, I talked to Conflict’s bandleader Lonnie Jordan, and their producer Jerry Goldstein. The 2 of them instructed me how “Low Rider” was made within the studio, by way of a mix of improvisation and meticulous modifying.
