Tinubu indicators North-west, South-east Improvement Fee Payments

President Bola Tinubu has signed into legislation payments creating two new regional improvement commissions.

The payments are the North West Improvement Fee (NWDC), sponsored by Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, and the South East Improvement Fee (SEDC), sponsored by Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu.

The 2 payments had been handed by each chambers in June and transmitted to the president for assent.

President Tinubu signed the payments on Tuesday, in keeping with Mr Kalu, who introduced this in a submit on social media.

The NWDC is remitted to develop the seven North-west states of Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, and Kaduna.
