Police foil kidnap try in Katsina 

The Katsina State Police Command says it has foiled an try by bandits to kidnap a woman in Faru village, Jibia Native Authorities Space of the State.

This was disclosed in an announcement on Thursday by the Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq

He stated, “In the present day, August 29, 2024, at about 0115hrs, a misery name was acquired on the Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters on a bandits assault on Faru village, Jibia LGA, kidnapping one individual.

“Instantaneously, the DPO Jibia mobilised a joint staff of operatives in collaboration with members of the Katsina State Group Watch Corps , members of the vigilante, and responded to the scene.

“The staff valiantly engaged the assailants in a gun duel, efficiently rescued the kidnapped sufferer unharmed, and foiled the assault because the assailants fled the scene with numerous levels of bullet accidents.”

It added, “Efforts are being intensified to arrest the fleeing suspects.

“The CP Aliyu Abubakar, whereas commending the unusual act of professionalism and bravado displayed by the operatives, costs officers to maintain the continued onslaught in opposition to all types of crime and criminality within the state, particularly kidnapping and banditry, for a greater secured Katsina State.”
