Zamfara Guards Nab Suspect Supplying Drinks to Bandits
Security operatives in Zamfara State have apprehended a man identified as Ashiru Jijji for allegedly supplying soft drinks and other consumables to armed bandits terrorizing the region.

The arrest was made by members of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards during a routine patrol in one of the state’s bandit-infested zones, a security source revealed under anonymity.
According to preliminary findings, Jijji was serving as a logistics provider to the criminal gangs, delivering supplies deep into forest camps where the bandits are known to operate.

“We intercepted him while he was transporting multiple cartons of soft drinks and other provisions. During questioning, he admitted that the items were intended for a group of bandits he regularly supports,” the source disclosed.
The suspect is currently in custody and will be transferred to the appropriate security authorities for further investigation and potential prosecution. His arrest marks a significant step in ongoing efforts to cut off supply lines to criminal elements operating in Zamfara’s rural areas.
