Bayern Fight back to thrash Freiburg

Michael Olise delivered a masterclass, scoring twice and recording a hat-trick of assists as Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich roared back from two goals down to dismantle Freiburg.
Freiburg shocked the champions early, racing into a 2–0 lead within 17 minutes. Yuito Suzuki tapped in from close range before Johan Manzambi powered home a header from Jan-Niklas Beste’s corner.
But Bayern, unbeaten in the league since March, responded in emphatic fashion and were level before the interval.
Teenage midfielder Lennart Karl sparked the comeback, drilling into the bottom corner after being picked out by Olise in the 22nd minute. Karl then turned provider, slipping the ball through for Olise to smash home in first-half stoppage time — with Freiburg keeper Noah Atubolu arguably at fault.
The second half was one-way traffic.
Dayot Upamecano headed in from an Olise corner to give Bayern the lead for the first time, before Harry Kane struck his 14th Bundesliga goal of the season on the hour mark. Olise then completed his trio of assists by threading a perfect pass to Nicolas Jackson, who finished first time to make it 5–2 in the 78th minute.
Olise capped his sensational display six minutes later, driving at the Freiburg defence and curling a superb effort into the far corner for Bayern’s sixth.
The victory — Bayern’s 10th in 11 league matches — extends their lead at the top to eight points over second-placed Bayer Leverkusen. Freiburg remain 10th.
Vincent Kompany’s side now turn their attention to a Champions League trip to Arsenal on Wednesday (20:00 GMT), with both teams boasting perfect records after four group-stage wins.
