TOM ASPINALL has revealed he will have two eye surgeries on his eye after his fight against Ciryl Gane was called off in bizarre circumstances.
Aspinall suffered a double eye poke against Gane at UFC 321 in October, with the fight declared a no-contest.
The 32-year-old was left with double vision and could not open his right eye long after the fight was scrapped.
The heavyweight was also diagnosed with Brown’s syndrome, which limits upward and inward movement of the eyes.
Aspinall is now plotting a comeback and a rematch against Gane and confirmed he will have two surgeries to mend his eye, with a second scheduled for January.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, he revealed: “By the time this is going out, I’ll probably have had surgery on one side already.
“Next surgery is coming mid-January. So, we’re working toward getting back. That’s the plan.”
Last week he reacted angrily to a post from Gane publicly saying there was no date for their next fight.
He replied:“No s*** there’s not a date yet.
“I’m not medically cleared to fight and about to have surgery thanks to your disgusting fingernails.

“I’ll be back to smash your face in soon, you cheat.”
He previously told The Ariel Helwani Show he was in no rush to return to the cage to ensure his eye fully heals.
Aspinall explained: “Obviously, I want to get back as soon as possible.
“That’s the plan. But I’m also aware that with eyes, you gotta be careful.
“They don’t really know when I’m gonna be back at the moment. I’m still not even cleared to train or do anything.”
In a video on his ownYouTubechannel, he said: “I’ve got to be 100 per cent right. So whenever the eye’s good to go, that’s when I’ll do it.”
Aspinall had been fuming after fans booed when the fight was called off.
He raged: “I’ve just got f***ing poked knuckle deep in the eye ball. What the f***? Why are you booing? What am I supposed to do about it?
“I didn’t do the f***ing poke. I can’t see. The fight was just getting going. Complete bulls***. I’m p***ed off. I can hardly open my eye.”
