FULHAM have contacted the PGMOL regarding Florian Wirtz’s controversial strike in Sunday’s 2-2 draw.
Liverpool forward Wirtz appeared to score having received the ball in an offside position but the goal still stood following a lengthy VAR check.
The Cottagers have requested a full explanation over the decision – despite offside rules being adjusted this season to give attackers the benefit of the doubt.
A 5cm tolerance level now applies to right decisions but Wirtz, who made it 1-1, was deemed to have been less than 5cm ahead of Issa Diop.
Boss Marco Silva, who ranted for around three minutes on the subject, said: “I have more images, different tools. I cannot believe how that goal was allowed, it was a clear offside.
“Look back four weeks, Crystal Palace at home, Emile Smith Rowe’s goal disallowed but less than five centimetres that time.

“Who was talking about five centimetres then? What happened this game? I still don’t understand.
“I’m a big believer that at the end of the season everything should be balanced. It is part of the game, good and bad decisions, for me, players, officials.
“The reality is we have been very unlucky in things that are not grey but black and white.
“We are still waiting for feedback from the Premier League. It was clear. It’s much more than 5cm.”

Silva, 48, is seldom shy when it comes to questioning referees.
The Portuguese was sent off during Fulham’s infamous implosion at Old Trafford in 2023, during which Aleksandar Mitrovic shoved whistler Chris Kavanagh.
He was subsequently slapped with a two-match touchline ban and £40,000 fine after suggesting that Kavanagh may have had an agenda against his side.
Silva and Mitrovic, who received an eight-game ban, went on to issue Kavanagh with formal apologies.
More recently, following September’s 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa, Silva berated officials for their “incredible” decisions.
He told the BBC: “Difficult for us – impossible – to understand the VAR decisions today.”
Silva then fumed to Sky Sports: “I have watched the moments now and for me, they are incredible. I respect and they will try and explain but we cannot understand.
“It is very difficult for me to say that Martinez is not a penalty. If a player is taken out inside the box, it is a penalty everywhere in the world.”
