God gave me specific instructions not to collect offerings — Isaac Oyedepo

AdminBy AdminJanuary 14, 2026Updated:January 14, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

Founder of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, has revealed that his ministry will not be collecting offerings during its services, following what he described as a direct instruction from God.

The cleric made this known in a video message shared online, where he explained that the focus of his ministry is centred on discipleship and spiritual growth, rather than financial contributions.

Oyedepo explains reason for rejecting offering collections

According to Oyedepo, the mandate given to him places priority on building believers through the Word of God and equipping them to follow Christ in truth, stressing that monetary practices must not distract from that assignment.

“God gave me specific instructions not to collect offerings,” he stated.

He clarified that while offering collection is acceptable in many churches, his own assignment is different and must remain strictly aligned with what God has instructed him to do.

The announcement comes as the ministry prepares to commence its Sunday worship services in Abuja, which will now hold weekly. Oyedepo said the new services are designed to create an environment for spiritual maturity and consistent engagement with the Scriptures.

Abuja services to focus on discipleship and spiritual growth

Explaining the foundation of his approach, the preacher pointed to the early ministry of Jesus Christ as his model.

“All Jesus did during his early ministry was to make disciples; the fire fell, and they were filled and refilled. Before He left, He commanded us to do the same,” he said.

He added that the health of the Church depends largely on how deeply believers are rooted in the Word, questioning how strong congregations would be if members were genuinely immersed in Scripture.

Isaac Oyedepo, who was born on February 26, 1985, officially launched his independent ministry in November 2023 after years of service at Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.

His transition into full-time ministry leadership marked a new chapter in his spiritual journey, with a strong emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, and personal spiritual development.

With the Abuja services set to begin, Oyedepo says his focus remains fixed on raising committed followers of Christ and fulfilling the divine instruction given to him.
