She gave me my first car – Old video of Alaseyori praising Omije Ojumi trends after singers death

AdminBy AdminJanuary 17, 2026Updated:January 17, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

An old video of gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has resurfaced online following the death of her colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi.

The clip has triggered mixed reactions from fans, with many expressing deep emotions over the late singer’s impact and legacy.

Video resurfaces days After

Omije Ojumi’s Death

The video began trending just days after Omije Ojumi passed away, as tributes and reactions continued to flood social media.

In the clip, Yinka Alaseyori was seen speaking during a live stage performance, reflecting on how the late singer supported her early ministry journey.

“She Dashed Me a Car” – Alaseyori Reveals Late Singer’s Kindness

While addressing the audience, Yinka Alaseyori disclosed that Omije Ojumi was the person who gave her her first car when she was just starting out in ministry.

She explained that the late singer did not request any payment for the vehicle, describing her as a “Good Woman” whose kindness left a lasting mark on her life.

She said:“…Mummy Bunmi Akinnanu, Omije Ojumi. Peradventure you did not know, she is the person who gave me my first car ever in ministry. She gave it to me without collecting a dime from me. I mean, she dashed me a car just like that…”

Fans React With Emotions and Criticism

The resurfaced video stirred strong reactions among fans. Many were emotional, praising Omije Ojumi’s generosity and praying for her family.

However, others criticised Alaseyori, arguing that appreciation should have been shown while the singer was still alive.

Some social media users also claimed that Alaseyori initially posted the video on her page and later deleted it, which they interpreted as a lack of genuine concern, despite the late singer’s contribution to her career.

Omije Ojumi’s Death Linked to Ignored Warnings

Meanwhile, broadcaster Afolabi Peter Murphy had earlier sparked controversy by linking Omije Ojumi’s death to ignored prophecies.

He suggested that if certain warnings had been taken seriously, the singer might still be alive. He also mentioned other gospel artistes who allegedly dismissed prophecies and later passed away.
