HELEN Flanagan has revealed that she once batted off the attention of disgraced influencer Andrew Tate after matching with him on a dating app.
In her explosive new memoir Head & Heart, released today, the former Coronation Street actress opened up on the shocking message she received from him on Hinge.
Discussing her romantic endeavours following her split from ex fiance Scott Sinclair in 2022, Helen admitted that “not every interaction was welcome” as she recalled her encounter with Tate.
“The controversial influencer and male supremacist Andrew Tate slid into my DMs with a message saying ‘Sons?’ alongside a heart emoji,” she wrote.
“I was shocked but then I laughed. And before you ask, no of course I didn’t reply!”
A spokesperson for Andrew Tate told The Sun: “Andrew denies the claims, which are entirely untrue.

“Unfortunately, it has become a pattern for lesser known public figures to invoke his name at moments of heightened publicity, such as when promoting a new project, film, TV show or forthcoming book.”
The American-British kickboxer and social media personality – known for his anti-feminist views – was banned from Instagram in August 2022 after violating their policies on hate speech.
The disgraced influencer was then arrested four months later in Romania as part of an ongoing investigation into rape and human trafficking claims.
Tate is also set to stand trial in June this year after being sued by four women for allegations of rape, physical assault, and coercive control, that reportedly took place in Luton and Hitchin between 2013 and 2015.
He strongly denies all allegations in both the UK and Romania cases.
In addition to Tate, Helen also revealed that she had a flirty exchange with a “handsome” and “well-known” actor, though chose to keep his identity a secret.
“I’d met him years before on a job and we’d had a little flirt back then, but I was with Scott at the time and so it hadn’t gone any further than a bit of joking around,” she penned.
“Anyway, I liked his reel, followed him, and he messaged me straightaway.
“We started DMing each other quite a lot over the next few days which was a game-changer for me because I’d never had this sort of experience with anyone before and I got properly into this guy,” she explained.
However, the flirtation didn’t go any further than her DMs, despite Helen being open to meeting face-to-face.
“After a couple of weeks, I bit the bullet and asked if he wanted to meet up in London. And you know what? The pillock blew me out!
“He said he couldn’t come because he was ‘too busy.’ It had been fun while it lasted, but he clearly didn’t want to take it beyond the DMs,” she confirmed.
The Celebs Go Dating star jokily added that her friend called her “sex starved” and that she’d “have had him for breakfast”.
“She called me a man-eater which I thought was a bit harsh but I was definitely more than ready for a bit of action.”
Following her split from footballer Scott, Helen enjoyed a “situationship” with boxer David Hayes.
While she first met David onI’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Hereback in 2012, things didn’t turn romantic until 11 years later.

While the couple are known for “throuples“, Helen was quick to shut down that she joined the pair in that capacity: “No, no, no, not at all.”
“The relationship that I had with David was just David on his own,” the actress confirmed toThe Mail.
“My evenings were just spent with him, that’s what only ever happened.”
