Popular Nigerian actor Tayo Amokade, widely known as Ijebu, has called for the arrest of content creator King Mitchy following a disturbing incident during a TikTok live session.

King Mitchy reportedly consumed a household cleaning substance during the livestream in what was described as an attempt to harm herself amid her ongoing online dispute with Verydarkman.

Her management later alleged that the incident was triggered by intense social media attacks directed at her by the activist and some of his supporters.

The development sparked widespread controversy online, with concerns raised about the growing trend of referencing harmful acts in social media content.

Ijebu calls on the authorities

Reacting in an Instagram video, Ijebu condemned the incident and urged authorities to take action, arguing that the content could negatively influence teenagers and other vulnerable viewers.

He stressed that the substance involved is a common household product and warned against normalizing its association with self-harm.

“Good morning everyone, I want to pass this message to everybody, especially to our police. I’m begging the police in charge of social media, that are monitoring the use of social media that we have children between age 10 and 21 that have access to social media. I don’t know when hypo that is meant to bleach toilet, clothes or used to clean our house turned to a drink all in the name of I want to end all, I want to commit suicide, I’m depressed.

So, if someone is now depressed, the solution is to take their life. I’m urging the police to start the arrest of anyone attempting to commit suicide because all this Gen z has a lot of followers. They are supposed to be a role model not bad influence. Please I’m begging the police to arrest anyone that comes online all in the name of I want to end it all. She was seen during the Tiktok live drinking hypo in presence of her associates”, Ijebu lamented.
