Toke Makinwa: I’m Open to Being a Second, Third, or Even Fifth Wife
Media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has revealed that she is now open to becoming a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife if the opportunity arises.
She made the candid statement during a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, where she discussed the realities and pressures of being an independent woman.
Reflecting on the demands of constantly being self-reliant, Toke said,
“As independent women, do you think we’ve glamorized the idea of independence too much? It’s tough, I won’t lie. Forget the cameras — at this point in my life, if I have the chance to be a second, third, fourth, or fifth wife, I will take it.”
She explained that while she is proud of her accomplishments, constantly taking charge in every area of life can become exhausting.
“I’m the boss everywhere I go, and honestly, that can be tiring. Sometimes, you just want someone to take the lead — to decide what’s for dinner, to carry the weight with you. Must it always be me?” she said.
Toke Makinwa was previously married to fitness entrepreneur Maje Ayida. Their marriage, which began in 2014, ended in 2017.
