A BRIT cyclist has been killed in what has been described as a “deliberate” hit-and-run in Tenerife.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident on Monday evening.

The alarm was raised around 8pm in the municipality of Arona in the south of the holiday island.
The victim was cycling on the TF-652 road between Las Chafiras and the fishing village of Las Galletas.
Local reports today described it as a “hit-and-run” and the island newspaper El Dia said the Civil Guard were investigating whether he had been “murdered”.
A regional emergency response coordination centre said: “We received the first calls just before 8.15pm on December 1, saying a man had been knocked off his bike by a car at kilometre six of the TF-652 road in the municipality of Arona.
“Two ambulances were mobilised along with local police and the Civil Guard.
“They could only certify the death of the person hit when they reached the scene because of the injuries he had sustained.”
Local police employed by Arona Town Hall handled the initial inquiries but have now handed the case over to Civil Guard investigators.
No arrests are believed to have taken place so far.
A makeshift shrine with flowers and candles was arranged for the victim, who is known to be a Liverpool fan.
The club’s shirt was seen pinned to the trunk of a palm tree where bouquets of flowers have been left.
One message written in English said: “I love you forever wee bro.”
The Sun has reached out to the Foreign Office for comment.
It comes three days after another man was found dead at his Costa Blanca home and his wife rushed to the hospital.
Initial reports described the pair as Irish and wrongly said the woman had died shortly after officers reached the scene.
