World Cup 2026 predicted by supercomputer – so can England end 60 years of hurt?

THE WINNERS of the 2026 World Cup have been predicted thanks to a supercomputer.

England will be looking to end 60 years of hurt as they are among the favourites to win the trophy after a stunning qualifying campaign that saw them winning all of their matches without conceding.

Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo have been tipped to win the World Cup

According to anew World Cup Supercomputer viaJeffBet.net – which has projected what the tournament will look like after the draw was made on Friday – it’s BAD NEWS for the Three Lions.

That is because Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo have been tipped to lift the trophy at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.

However, England have been predicted to make it to the semi-finals of the World Cup.

More specifically, the supercomputer has made the following predictions for the Round of 16, where Wales and Scotland will join Thomas Tuchel‘s side.

France will beat Germany 1-0, the Netherlands will win 2-1 against Wales, Brazil will defeat Ecuador 1-0, England will beat Scotland 1-0, Spain will win 1-0 against Colombia, Australia will defeat South Africa 2-1, Argentina will beat Turkey 3-2 and Portugal will pick up a 3-1 victory over Switzerland.

Then the quarter-finals will see France beating the Netherlands 3-2, Spain winning against Australia with a score of 2-0, England defeating Brazil 2-0 and Portugal eliminating Argentina with a score of 3-2 in the final ever clash between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

That will set up a semi-final clash between England and Portugal as well as Spain and France.

Portugal have been tipped to win on penalties after a 2-2 draw, while Spain are expected to beat France with a score of 1-0.

That will set up a final between Ronaldo and co versus Lamine Yamal’s side.

And Portugal have been tipped to win 2-1 to seal CR7’s first ever World Cup trophy.

England are the favourites to win the bronze medal by beating France on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
