Potable reacts to Destiny Boys death, claims he sings better than Wizkid

Controversial singer, Portable has reacted to the untimely death of Afrobeat artist Destiny Boy, claiming the late singer was more talented than Grammy-winning superstar, Wizkid.

The Zazu crooner shared his thoughts in a video currently making the rounds on social media, where he spoke about Destiny’s struggles in the music industry.

In his words, he said:

“Destiny Boy, we miss you. He knew how to sing more than Wizkid, but he didn’t have any helper. God, please don’t let me die young. Make sure you don’t die because there is fake love everywhere.”

Portable went on to suggest that Destiny Boy had been battling serious health challenges privately, claiming the singer faced many difficulties on his own without adequate support.

He also questioned Destiny Boy’s decision to part ways with his former associates, the 2T Boys, noting that things appeared to change for him afterward.

“If he died at his babalawo’s place, it was because of his sickness. He had been facing a lot on his own. I don’t know why he left his helpers, 2T Boys. Everything changed for him when he left them,” he added.

It will be recalled that Portable was recently released from prison following his escalated dispute with his fourth baby mama, Ashabi Simple.

His comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with his observations about the harsh realities of the music industry, while others criticized him for making such remarks during a period of mourning.

“Destiny Boy can sing better than Wizkid. People claimed Davido gave him a house, a car, and money, but we later heard it was a lie. There’s no evidence that Davido gave him any of those things.”
