Nigerians expresses frustration over delays at an Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registration centre, alleging that persistent network problems have prevented many people from completing their voter registration.

In a video circulating online, a man claimed that numerous prospective voters had arrived at the centre early in the morning but were unable to make progress because officials reportedly informed them that the server was experiencing technical difficulties.

According to him, some people eventually left after waiting for hours without being attended to.

He lamented that many citizens had taken time off work to register and questioned why technical issues were occurring at a time when there appears to be growing interest in voter registration.

The man also revealed that he had visited the registration centre multiple times without success, describing the experience as discouraging.

In another segment of the video, a lady was also seen lamenting similar issue.

The man said …

“They’re telling us that the serve is not working fine. That there is slow network. People are leaving, people have been here since morning, no progress, nothing nothing. The server is down. Today is Monday and people left their various jobs to come to this place just to be disappointed.

Nigerians are eager. Why is it now that it is important to register for vote that they’re telling us network is bad. Imagine a whole government thing.

People have been here since morning. This is past twelve yet no progress. Since I’ve not eaten and this is the second time I’m coming here.

Imagine Monday morning young young people full INEC office just to register and they’re frustrating people, saying go to another centre, that their network is bad. For the past 3 days I’ve been coming…”
